Now you can start dealing with the horse's bridle and bit. The reins halter and a bit piece belong to the bridle. A bit is also called a snaffle bit. Therefore you can also say "the horse is bridled". At this point you also have to make sure, that everything is in place and the straps aren't chafing anywhere. The reins are attached to the bit piece so are buckled to the bridle. A horse's mouth is very delicate, so you should never tug on the bridle.
